Position, position, position.

When you view football, have you ever observed how many times the announcer would declare something such as, “It is not how hard you toss the football but where you chuck it.”

Facts are, a major league hitter can hit a baseball but hard you chuck it. But, if you toss it at just the right spot, he cannot upset it.

This is also right for starting a coffee shop. You are able to place up the fanciest coffee shop in the whole world, if your location is all incorrect, your tiny business is vacant nowhere.

Alright, so what do you need to look for so far as location goes?

Well, to start with, you need a location that is accessible to some type of transport. If you’re in the middle of a lively intersection with a lot of through traffic, this is ideal. But what if you cannot get such a location? A next best choice would be an area which is at least very close to public transportation, whether it be bus or train.

If you’re able to afford the rent, a splendid location for the coffee shop, as I am sure you have seen, is in a very packed mall. Malls not only have the people who drive in but the ones that take the buses and trains as well.

Another thing to look for is an area where there are a lot of businesses. Why is this valuable? Because a lot of businesses mean many individuals who work and need coffee breaks. If you’re near a generous office building, this is an ideal location.

But one of the most valuable things of all is checking out the location of your nearest competition. If you reckon you’re vacant to place up a prosperous coffee shop within an area that already has a Starbucks AND a Dunkin Donuts, you are vacant to have your work cut out for you…not to mention if there are already diners and other cofffee shops within the area.

So make sure you carefully examine the area where you are thinking of putting your shop.

A poor location can kill your tiny business right from the start.
